Welcome back to Earl Buxton!  And for those students and parents new to our school - we're so glad you're here!

What is PAC? and what does it do? The Parent Advisory Council is a body of parents committed to supporting our school's terrific staff and students in whatever capacity is needed. As a parent of an Earl Buxton student, you are welcome at any meetings we have, and are invited to give feedback and ideas, and to participate with committees and special events, depending on your availability and interest.

When does PAC meet? We hold monthly meetings on the second (or sometimes the third) Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 p.m. in the staff room of the school. The first PAC meeting of this new school year is on Tuesday, September 9th. 

What kinds of initiatives does PAC undertake during a typical school year?

-          Various fundraising efforts

-          Club Moo & Hot Lunch programs

-          Family dance & family barbecue/silent auction

-          Christmas concert assistance

-          Lunch & Learn program

-          Seminars for parents

-          Drop-off & pick-up patrol

Who is on the executive of this year's PAC?

This year's group is made up of a good mix of Division 1 and Division 2 parents. 

Our Chair is Charlene Robbins, Assistant Chair is Sara Hiebert, Secretary is Judy Chepeha, and Treasurer is Betty Mah.

Various committee chairs are already in place, and we look forward to some new faces joining our ranks. Fundraising committee chair is Michelle Le Grange, Hot Lunch will be coordinated by Lisa Adam (with some help from Diane Hawrelak and Deb Barrie), and Club Moo coordinators are Diane Hawrelak and Brenda Mudryk.

Each class will have a Classroom Rep to be determined in September these Reps are encouraged to attend the PAC meetings, as well as a liaison from the PAC group will keep those Reps informed (and they, in turn, will relay info to the classroom parents).
