Earl Buxton’s Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and Society (PAS)
What is PAC/PAS?
PAC’s purpose is to support and enhance student learning
Earl Buxton’s Parent Advisory Council is an organization of parents and school leadership which meets monthly to discuss and plan school activities and events, and provide support for staff. The Parent Advisory Society (PAS) is responsible for fundraising, and meets in conjunction with the PAC, under the same leadership. All parents and guardians of Earl Buxton students are welcome and encouraged to participate, since parent involvement is a key element of student achievement.
PAC meetings offer insight into what is happening at the school and provide an opportunity to offer feedback as programs and events are developed. PAC drives and helps to fund many of the school’s popular programs, including:
- Lunch ‘n’ Learn
- Hot Lunch and Club Moo
- Every Bite Counts/Healthy Earl Buxton
- Family Dance
- Parent seminars
- Student drop-off and pick-up patrol
- Parent Parking Patrol (P3)
- Annual Staff Appreciation Week (EB Staff Rocks Week)
