Earl Buxton’s Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and Society (PAS)
The Earl Buxton Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is an organization of parents and school leadership which meets monthly to discuss and plan school activities and events. The Parent Advisory Society (PAS) is responsible for fundraising, and meets in conjunction with the PAC, under the same leadership.
All parents and guardians are welcome and encouraged to participate, since parent involvement is a key element of student achievement. Attending monthly meetings and participating in activities is a great way to get involved in your child’s/childrens’ experience at Earl Buxton, as well as a great way to get to better know the school and fellow parents.
What Does the PAC and PAS Do?
Provides funds for many of the programs that strengthen Earl Buxton, including:
• technology initiatives, including laptops and other computer equipment
• classroom libraries and in-class resources
• the school library
• Daily Physical Activity (DPA) equipment
• the Artist in Residence program
Leads initiatives enjoyed by many students, including:
• Lunch ‘n’ Learn program
• Family Dance

Manages the Parent Parking Patrol, an important safety program for the school, its students and parents. This parent volunteer program helps ensure students are dropped off and picked up safely in the drop-off lane each day. Each classroom (grades 1-6) is responsible to cover an assigned week at a time.
When does PAC meet?
